MAMMO TECH-TRAVEL-13 week contract, 8-10hrs a day up to 40 a week, must have Digital MQSA experience screening and diagnostics Digital Mammography, QC, MQSA experience - Must have completed A.M.A. approved Radiologic Technology program. - Must have and maintain ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registry in Radiology and Mammography. - Must have California State Radiologic Technologist Certification. - Must have BLS from American Heart of Association The Lead Mammography Tech is responsible and accountable for the daily operations throughout the organization that are directed to the patient care and technical components of the mammography department, as well as other areas of service. The Lead Mammography Tech operates all areas in a manner that is efficient, cost effective and especially sensitive to the needs and expectations of the patients served. The Lead Mammography Tech also works in collaboration with the radiologists to insure quality services, and is responsible for the timely and accurate completion of the activities required by the ACR and MQSA QC programs. - Coordinates and directs the daily operations of Breast Imaging Department. - Ensures the timely completion of patient exams in accordance with the department procedures for technical quality - Interacts with the staff and the radiologists to ensure efficient patient care - Is responsible for oversight and performance (as directed) of the QC/QA requirements to maintain accreditation - Serves in a leadership role collaboratively and independently for programmatic planning, business planning, including major capital equipment purchases, and marketing initiatives. - Ensures that billing information and coding are up-to-date to obtain proper reimbursement - Performs clinical exams in the mammography section - Competently operates all mammography equipment in the department. - Assists radiologists and other physicians with any/all procedures as clinically certified. - Assures the comfort and safety of the patient at all times - Coordinates and directs the daily operations of Breast Imaging Department. - Ensures the timely completion of patient exams in accordance with the department procedures for technical quality - Interacts with the staff and the radiologists to ensure efficient patient care - Is responsible for oversight and performance (as directed) of the QC/QA requirements to maintain accreditation - Serves in a leadership role collaboratively and independently for programmatic planning, business planning, including major capital equipment purchases, and marketing initiatives. - Ensures that billing information and coding are up-to-date to obtain proper reimbursement - Performs clinical exams in the mammography section - Competently operates all mammography equipment in the department. - Assists radiologists and other physicians with any/all procedures as clinically certified. - Assures the comfort and safety of the patient at all times

Responsibilities include:
• Performs a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic radiographic equipment and other equipment/devices as appropriate.
• Explains mammography procedure to all patients; answers any patient questions or concerns.
• Positions patients, using immobilization when necessary. Calculate exposure factors, assist physicians.
• Perform the quality control functions related to mammography.
• Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality obtaining additional images as needed.

Qualifications include:
• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Completion of a 24-month AMA approved School of Radiological Technology Program.
• Current State License or Certificate, if required by state regulations or contract specifications.
• One (1) year of experience as a Mammography preferred.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to accurately communicate with patients
• Current BLS card.
