Program Description: The Program Psychologist provides evaluation, observation, interview, and psychological testing that supports the social and emotional health of persons served
Summary of Position:
The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible to provide psychological assessments, evaluation, therapy, consultation and interdisciplinary clinical leadership. The Clinical Psychologist will be responsible for writing and managing behavioral treatment plans for individuals in intensive treatment programs; provides staff training, and the professional development of assigned staff. Responsible to assure adherence to ethical standards and the development of the services and/or treatment plans that promote evidence based practice this includes but is not limited to Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing.

Qualifications:
Doctoral degree from an accredited university in the area of psychology. Must be fully licensed in the State of Michigan. Three to five years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities who have persistent social and emotional behavioral issues. Previous background and experience in developing a clinical service model preferred. Candidate must have a valid drivers license and have strong computer skills (Microsoft) office product suite.
Environment:
The work environment will be a combination of office, field, and group therapy. Hours of work may vary and will depend on the needs of the agency and persons served. Active participation in agency meetings outside of the normal work day may be required as needed. Candidate must be able to complete essential job functions with or with out accommodation.
