Description:
The Electroencephalogram Technician prepares patient and EEG machine for neurodiagnostic examination. Performs prescribed electroencephalogram tests, with the knowledge and ability to collect, assess, interpret and intervene as appropriate in the care of pediatric, adult and geriatric patients. This position may also back up scheduling and front desk functions in EEG/EMG.
BLS Certification, Completion of EEG Training Program including internship
Completion of 4 months to 1 year of previous experience as an EEG Technician or Technologist, performing EEGs in various clinical environments.
Perform routine and complex procedures to obtain data for use in the diagnosis of clinic disorders of the nervous system in at least one of the following modalities of Neurodiagnostics: Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EP), Epilepsy Monitoring and Polysomnography (PSG)
Responsibilities include:

• Adheres to all Maxim and worksite rules, policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications include:
• Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent number year of experience in a biological or psychological field; as required by state regulations and contract specifications.
• Appropriate Certification or State licensure; as required by state regulations or contract specifications.
• One (1) year of experience in related field preferred.
• Successfully pass all Maxim screening exams with a score of 80% or greater.
• Must meet Maxim's pre-employment screening requirements.
• Current physical exam, if required by state regulations or contract specifications.
• Current TB test or chest x-ray.
